Yay! I like the land and the sky but not the man. I did his clothes wrong. But something angiedub did and the music to it (Porushka-Paranya by Bering Strait) reminded me how much I used to love Ilya Repin and I've been looking up his art again now and I need to do studies from it for how to do men better. Like this one!
...Yeah. I think that's their job, to pull the boats in, that they're not actually slaves, but I don't know. I think it's also the point of the painting to be sad or else why would he have put one young guy in the middle of them.
