Lots more flower pics.

(Can you spot the other visitors? :D )

Three big stalks of vivid orange lilies with red-black middles

Two more full stalks of orange lilies with red-black middles

At least somebody appreciates the lily beetles!

A stalk of brilliant yellow lilies with five flowers open and another cluster of buds above them. There are spiderwebs on the stalk and amongst them, a spider feeding on a beetle.

A stalk of downcast red lilies with buds partially eaten but the flowers still open. Grass and a narrow strip of white in the background.

Here we go, a better shot of the pair together. The cub was out there with me when I was trying to get some of these photos. We'd just gotten back from picking him up at the day home. The rabbits sensibly took cover across the street when he was determined to pet them. He was very concerned that they didn't stop and look both ways before crossing. XD

Two rabbits sitting together in the grass beside a T-junction in the sidewalk, one sitting with ears down and one standing with ears up.

More flowers and yet to come.

A direct shot of one resplendent pale orange lily with a spray of red and speckles in the center. Brick edging of a circular flowerbed in the background.

Unopened buds from what is probably going to be a red or magenta lily stalk in a circular flowerbed.

More unopened buds, partially developed, with the green of the bud just starting to be eclipsed by a very deep maroon.

What lovely photos! I especially enjoy the orange lilies (both kinds), and of course the bunnies — Silke says she thinks they are hares — are adorable! 💗

... you go in for a smell, because some lilies smell amazing, and get a face full of various-color pollen!

This one? And yeah, some of those powders *are* less than healthy, but the traditional natural sourced ones are safer, though they can cause some allergic reactions in people, so we've never wanted to attend one.

It's kinda hit-and-miss with dyes, though, since some naturally sourced ones are really terrible (cinnabar, for ex.), while some modern chemically produced ones are way safer (like some of the blue dyes relative to their more natural ancestors, iIrc)

And with something like powders just being thrown around in the air in the midst of a densely packed crowd, there's bound to be *someone* who is either allergic or just sensitive to even the most GRAS ("Generally Regarded As Safe") among them (e.g.: turmeric, chickpea flour, etc...)

Oh right, sorry, it wasn't the blues I was thinking of. Can't remember atm, lol!

A better example might be in food coloring, where the modern colors are in some cases safer for some people than the natural alternatives (e.g.: we aren't allowed to eat much turmeric because of our bleeding disorder, while the two chemical yellows allowed by the U.S. FDA are safe for us)

Ooooooh, beautiful flowers. :D Love the colors.

And yeah those look like hares! Way different from the rabbits I keep seeing around here.

All over the place! They seem to... multiply like bunnies, lol.

I usually see them on the University of Washington campus when heading home from game nights with Demons and Eevee, but the other week I saw one smack in the middle of downtown near their place, just kinda hopping along the sidewalk in the city. That one was surprising.
