The garden is coming alive
Jul. 21st, 2021 04:20 pmLots more flower pics.
(Can you spot the other visitors? :D )

At least somebody appreciates the lily beetles!

Here we go, a better shot of the pair together. The cub was out there with me when I was trying to get some of these photos. We'd just gotten back from picking him up at the day home. The rabbits sensibly took cover across the street when he was determined to pet them. He was very concerned that they didn't stop and look both ways before crossing. XD

More flowers and yet to come.

Date: 2021-07-24 08:53 pm (UTC)And with something like powders just being thrown around in the air in the midst of a densely packed crowd, there's bound to be *someone* who is either allergic or just sensitive to even the most GRAS ("Generally Regarded As Safe") among them (e.g.: turmeric, chickpea flour, etc...)

Date: 2021-07-25 06:33 pm (UTC)A better example might be in food coloring, where the modern colors are in some cases safer for some people than the natural alternatives (e.g.: we aren't allowed to eat much turmeric because of our bleeding disorder, while the two chemical yellows allowed by the U.S. FDA are safe for us)

Date: 2021-07-25 03:29 am (UTC)I usually see them on the University of Washington campus when heading home from game nights with Demons and Eevee, but the other week I saw one smack in the middle of downtown near their place, just kinda hopping along the sidewalk in the city. That one was surprising.
