Re Minecraft, yeah, it's irritating. But I'm playing my single-player game while I'm listening to this week's live-cast of Pieces of Ace.

I have a single-player game but everything I'm in the middle of is on the Alera server. Also, it's raining outside. :P

The server status just updated, though, so at least they're working on it. Maybe it won't be too much longer to wait.

The first time I tried to log in (which was shortly after you made this art OP) Minecraft told me they were doing server maintenance. Now Minecraft tells me “the server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request”. What condition? Wtf? *sigh*

By the way, are all of you sharing the OrangePyraxis account? The reason I ask is that I think I've mistakenly addressed Kin and you (and others) for “Pyraxis”, and I only can guess this because Shashigai has addressed “kin” (with a lower case “k”) a few times, and I can't remember if he has also addressed you as “j-t” or “JT” or other variation (my memory for names is lamentably poor). Anyway, I want to acknowledge the right person when I'm interacting with any of you, so please let me know when it's you and I'll know to call you J-T (or j-t, or other preferred variation). And if you could, please let the others know it's more than okay to tell me who you are. Thanks! 😊💖

Hey, it's me/Pyraxis now, but I can answer this.

"Kin" is a familiar nickname that Shashigai and I/Pyraxis use for each other. So if one of us says kin, we always mean the other one.

The only ones using the OrangePyraxis account are myself and j-t, we're the only ones interested in Minecraft. In game, don't worry about addressing one of us or the other, we'll both answer to Pyraxis for the sake of expediency. It's a game about building, not about identity. :)

j-t always spells her name with lowercase, even at the start of a sentence, but doesn't take great offense to people saying "JT". There's someone at my job who goes by JT though, so I do a bit of a double-take when I see that.

In case you haven't picked up on the icons here on DW yet, each of us always uses the same icon. j-t has the Mononoke-Hime icon with the little girl and the No Face. I use this fire-eyes icon. Daria's icon has a green silhouette of a knife fighter, Lin's is a sculpture j-t made of her, and Jo's is a pencil drawing of a curly-haired androgynous kid in furs.

Oh and I'm getting the same error now. Probably the Alera server is trying to ping the Minecraft server for information and getting no answer or an error for an answer. It's still fluctuating a lot. j-t got in for about ten minutes shortly before 4pm EST before it went back down again.

Yay! So there is water under the ice somewhere on Evan's home planet. I was hoping.

I bet roast spiderfish is really good, especially if they have some imported alien herbs to sprinkle on it.

I'm really glad you like it. I was practicing a new style, trying to find a way to get good results in Photoshop with my current brushes because I really hate messing around with changing the technology. I guess I'm a traditionalist in that sense. It's my rebellion against all the conforming and staying-on-the-bleeding-edge that Pyraxis has to do at work.

Can't wait to see how your one comes out.
