Ua'lin... being Ua'lin. How seriously you take her is up to you.

This is actually taken from one of the first pictures I ever drew of her. Same moment, but it was black and white, and a back view. Different clothes too I guess.



I even called it "The Chariot" back then, years before I started this painting series and before I really knew anything about tarot. I always wanted to do it in colour but the creatures pulling it were difficult from a technical perspective and I never quite managed it until now. They're from Ua/Uzazima (not nethik!) and I'm embarrassed to admit I don't remember what they're called, but they have a name and a mythology.

They're modeled after kudu antelope from Africa and horses, though yesterday I had someone call them goats. XP That's what I get for using artistic license on Lin's figure to make it bigger/more imposing. Made them look too small.

I thought they were the african antelopey things. They're too small for actual antelope.

Yeah but it's boring if they look just like them. My art's not a science doco. :P So if it's immediately recognizable it means I need to work/look harder.

LOL I see. To clarify I meant I could see they weren't the North American antelope, but the African one. I've watched a LOT of David attenborough in my life XD

So um.... yeah re the science docco. I like them, but I see them as a this world creature, not something from a different world.

I like Lin though. She's rather Stoic *grins* She will do what she has to do. Pure warrior!

I think she takes herself varying levels of seriousness, too. That's the impression I get from the picture, anyway
