Wouldn't it be awesome if multis and other people who maybe have intricate inner worlds, had access to that technology ? Then we could show our worlds to each other if we wanted to, or maybe even visit each other's worlds in a tangible way.
It's funny they were calling that world in Avatar intangible. For us, and some other multis that we know, our inner worlds are very tangible to us....unless I misunderstand the meaning of the word. I mean, we see our inner world, we hear it, and if we shut out external distractions we can smell it, touch it, and we've even tasted the coffee and beer that we've had around the campfire inside.
I think more people could actually benefit from having an inside world and then taking small steps to manifest it in the outside world....but, that's just me. I mean, an inner world is a great way to find out either what you truly desire....or what is truly bothering you....

:D We're getting there... I'm interested in virtual reality research for that exact reason. They've got basic haptics now, and basic brain-computer interfaces (enough to move a cursor around with your thoughts).

No, I definitely agree. That's one of the things that bugs me, how hostile our society can be to that kind of thing.
