We opened the package today with shashigai on webcam.



I don't know where the heck they managed to find an unopened tube of orange seed beads with one single light blue bead in it. But, XD! And, those red-brown beads and the black ones second from the left in the top row are full of little tiny golden stars.

Also, the music from Cloud Cult's Light Chasers. Which I am listening to as I write this. :D

Hahahaha, I was looking at the orange beads and saw that there among all the perfectly-organized tubes of beads and it cracked me up so I had to get it. That one bead is being a rebel.

Try taking them out in the sunlight sometime. They get even more ridiculous. I made myself bracelets out of both kinds using the stretchy cord stuff and I have a feeling that one of these days I am going to walk smack into a wall because I can't stop staring at how sparkly they are.

Now Shashi is all excited to get his "fishbag jim" when he gets home. (I asked if that meant he wanted a little Jim to put in the fishbag XD but apparently it just means that the bag is from Jim.) He says his favorite one (aside from all of them!) is the glass one with the black stripes, just underneath the blue one.

You can tell him that one weird little bead with the googly eyes is me. 47 was all going through her boxes of beads to see if there were any more fishbeads and I saw that and was like "WTF, that's awesome, that's going in the bag too!" It's an emoticon that I think jimnightmare made up. It means... hm, how to explain. It's a big smile with your eyes squeezed shut, like, "this is awesome but I can just barely stand it" or "I don't know whether to laugh or run away screaming", something like that.

Those are really neat! :D I like how you did the rainbow-y one (guessing that's j-t's). And I love the idea of having work-friendly status jewelry.

We did make one thing that sort of counts, not really as a status thing but just to have something that represents Jim that we could wear without it being part of an odd mass of shrinky-dinks or something too weird or obvious. I found these two neat blue heart beads already sitting in my old bead collection. We'll have to make a 2nd Jim necklace sometime to use the other, but for now we've got: http://spaceexplorercomic.com/ljart/photos/jimnecklace.jpg You can see I made myself a sparkly brown goldstone bracelet as well. XD I love that stuff. I've heard that there is also green goldstone, but I haven't been able to find any yet. Keeping an eye out whenever I go into bead stores, maybe I'll be able to find some in Seattle.

Nah, I didn't invent it, but it IS my favorite smiley. It's my "omfg, too freaking happy for my own good" face! And yeah... I think I abuse that smiley too much. The first thing the counselor lady e-mailed me about after reading my lj was pretty much "Hey Jim, nice to meet you, what is XD?"
